Jillian Tamaki

I really think Jillian Tamaki may just be my new favourite illustrator. I've flipped though her book "Skim" before, but now I truly must have it. Sketchblog lovelieness here too. I hope her new strip "Super Mutant Magic Academy" becomes a book.

Denise van Leeuwen

Astrology inspired work by Denise van Leeuwen. Do check out her work for children's books - it's kick ass.

Robin F. Williams

Hmmm, this freaks me out more than the zombie stationery (it might be the Surfjan Stevens tracks I am playing in the background). Cool work by Robin F. Williams.

Marissa Textor

Pretty, detailed illustrations from the pencils of Marissa Textor (NOTE: drawings, not photos).

Nike 90

I have longed desired to create my own range of playing cards. These promotional ones by Happycentro for Nike 90 are pretty awesome. Would like to land a set.

Feel it - it is here!

Lots of good fun to be had at Cape Town Creative Week. Cool kids, arise!

The Van Series

Love this series by Kevin Cyr. Editing was hard, can you tell?

Kristian Hammerstad 2

And of course, it all takes me back here again. Favourite. Ever.

Love and Rockets

That Hey CJ Parker video reminded me of cult comic book series Love and Rockets. I have been dying to get my hands on some of these. The storylines seem pretty cool and they're stylistically really close to the Archie Comics which I used to obsessively collect as a pre-teen. With movie rights tied in litigation for the last 15 years, I wonder if they'll ever manage to adapt this to the big screen. If so, the casting of Maggie and Hopey would be crazy. Read: NOT Kirsten Dunst!

Hey CJ Parker

Cool new local illustration collective has hit town - Hey CJ Parker!. Love the name and they have some pretty sweet work under the belt too. Amped to see more of this sorta thing.

Yum Yum London

Too awesome. Looking forward to more work from Yum Yum London.

Charlie Immer

I would totally buy a storybook illustrated by Charlie Immer. Reminds me a lot of the Gary Baseman one I already own.
