The Fire
I am really captivated by the totally unexpected new video "The Fire" by an all-time favourite band, The Roots. Another breakthrough for Hip Hop music videos which seem to be acting as trailers for bigger epic films than the usual boob-grinding and flashy stuff. Hot-right-now music video director Rik Cordero describes it as "a post-apolcalyptic death march set in 1945 during the final stages of World War 2 in Europe". Do watch. Also check out Drake's "Find Your Love" video which tries to break the Hip Hop video norms thanks to the talented Anthony Mandler.
